Young Justice:

Call of the Wolf

Chapter 3

Robin, Aqualad, and Kid Flash came to the decision of asking Speedy to join the team (and they wanted me and Rajah to meet him but I really never liked the guy in the beginning of the first season). It may sound a little weird, considering after what happened at the Hall of Justice (they told me about what happened before they came to Cadmus even though I already know what happened), but Roy was still their friend and it only seemed right to ask him to join.

And that's how we ended up at the docks of Star City.

Speedy was fighting some goons of Brick. They were pointing their guns at Speedy until Kid zoomed over and took some of them. Robin threw at one goon, knocking his gun out of his hand, laughing the creepy laugh of his, while I kicked a fallen goon at another goon, knocking him to the ground and Rajah appears out of nowhere and swipes her claws at the guns of two goons and when she roared at them and they both faint. Aqualad used his water whip to knock the last goon out.

Brick was throwing rocks at Speedy, who was, obviously, shooting arrows at him. Speedy dodged one rock while Aqualad destroyed it. Speedy shot an arrow at Brick and it exploded.

"The cave is perfect." Aqualad told Speedy. "It has everything the team will need."

"For covert missions." Robin added just after he jumped down from a crate. "You know, spy stuff."

"And wait until you see Superboy and Miss Martian, but I saw her first." Kid said as he sped over while I flew over (I can manipulate the air to make me jump higher, fly and hover off the ground). I rolled my eyes under my helmet, crossed my arms, and I manipulated the air to push Wally from behind. "Hey!"

"It would be really nice if you'd join, Speedy." I added (I'm trying to be nice to Roy.). "It's really great."

Before we got an answer, Brick threw another large rock at us. Speedy and Robin dove out of the way while Kid sped off and Aqualad and I stayed and I thrust my hand foward and the rock smashes into tiny little pieces scattering the remains. Speedy shot some more arrows, but they had no effect.

Brick laughed. "Tell Arrow he shouldn't send kids to do a man's job." Speedy just took out another arrow and aimed it. Brick spread his arms out. "Go ahead."

The arrow came into contact with him and started foaming, leaving Brick down for the count.

"High density polyurethane foam." Kid said, skidding to a halt as I landed right next to him. "Nice." Speedy just turned and walked away. I crossed my arms.

"So Speedy, you in?" Robin asked, leaning against a crate.

Speedy looked at him. "Pass. I'm done letting Arrow and the League tell me what to do. I don't need a baby-sitter or a clubhouse hangout with the other kids. Your Junior Justice League is a joke. Something to keep you busy and in your place. I don't want any part of it." Then he disappeared into the shadows. (I swear I thought he was giving me a glare!)

"I don't think he likes me guys. I could've sworn he gave me a glare under that mask!" I stated

"Nah! That's just his of saying hello babe." Wally said while trying to flirt with me but all he got in response from me is another punch in the shoulder.

"OW!!"

"Keep it up and you'll have a bunch of bruises by the end of week Flashy." I stated as me and Rajah headed for the zeta tubes to get back home to the mountain.

MOUNT JUSTICE

July 18

11:16 EDT

"Recognized: Wolf Strike B05, Rajah B06."

I smiled as Rajah and I walked out of the zeta tube in my usual uniform and a black hooded trench coat (the hood was down at the moment) then Rajah just goes straight to Superboy and started to rub against his legs asking for scratches and he complies by scratching her ear. Me and Superboy have gotten closer since we were both found at Cadmus and I even got him started with some training but I'm just teaching him the basics of punches and kicks and using the correct fighting stance at least.

"Hey guys." I greeted Superboy, Aqualad, and Miss Martian.

"Hi Wolf Strike. Hi Rajah." Miss Martian said with her usual cheeriness.

Ok me and M'gann have gotten pretty close since me and Superboy started to live here in the mountain. She's like a younger sister to me. (She even figured out that I was a telepath and we sometimes talk about certain stuff through the mind link from time to time.) I then walked over and stood in front of the holographic map with them. They were tracking Red Tornado. It was obvious why. They were hoping he'd have a mission for us because they were seriously bored. But me and Rajah were used to this since back in our dimension when waiting for a mission to be assigned to the Alpha team or a solo mission.

"Recognized: Robin B01, Kid Flash B03."

The two boys looked around happily before running over to us.

"Did you ask him?" Robin asked eagerly

"What did he say?" Wally asked

"He's arriving now." Aqualad answered

"Then what're we waiting for?" Wally exclaimed before the others followed him to meet Red Tornado outside the cave while Rajah and I stayed inside since I knew what was gonna happen next. And I also have to keep an eye on the cookies.

Outside...

They walked out just as Red Tornado was landing.

"Red Tornado!" Wally greeted the android

"Greetings." Red Tornado said in his robotic voice. "Is there a reason you intercept me outside the Cave?"

"We hoped you had a mission for us." Aqualad said

"Mission assignments are the Batman's responsibility." Red Tornado replied

"But it's been over a week and nothing—" Robin started, only to be cut off by Tornado.

"You'll be tested soon enough, but for the time being, simply enjoy each other's company."

"This team is not a social club." Aqualad said

"No," Tornado agreed, "but I am told social interaction is an important team building exercise. Perhaps you can keep busy by familiarizing yourself with the Cave." He walked past the five of them and headed inside.

"Keep busy." Wally muttered, hitting Robin in the shoulder lightly.

"Does he think we're falling for this?" Robin asked

"Oh," Miss Martian said. "I'll find out." She turned to Red Tornado with a concentrated look on her face.

"Recognized: Red Tornado 16."

She closed her eyes, a bit disappointed. "I'm sorry. I forgot he's a machine—inorganic. I cannot read his mind."

"Nice try though." Wally said. "So…" He stuffed his hands in his pockets. "You know what I'm thinking right now?"

"And now we tour the clubhouse." Aqualad said in an unamused voice

"Well, Superboy, Wolf Strike, Rajah, and I live here. But Wolf Strike and Rajah are still inside, but me and Superboy can play tour guides." Miss Martian said. They all looked at Superboy.

"Don't look at me." he said

"We won't." Wally said quickly before turning back to Miss Martian. "A private sounds much more fun."

"She never said private." Robin snapped

"Team building." Aqualad said. "We'll all go."

They all turned around and followed Miss Martian. "So, this would be our front door." She motioned to the entrance they were just walking into.

"And this would be the back." They just walked out the back of the cave and onto a ledge that overlooked the harbor. "The cave is actually the entire mountain."

"It was hollowed out and reinforced by Superman and Green Lantern in the early days of the League." Wally said as we walked back inside. He was obviously trying to impress her.

"Then why abandon it for the Hall of Justice?" Superboy asked

"The cave's secret location was… compromised." Aqualad answered

"So they traded it in for a tourist trap? Yeah, that makes sense."

"If villains know the cave, then we must be on constant alert." Miss Martian said

Robin reached up and grabbed her hand. "The bad guys know we know that they know about the place so they'd never think to look here." Wally walked up and put a hand on Robin's causing the latter to release Miss Martian's hand.

"Uh, he means we're hiding in plain sight." he explained

"Ah, that's much clearer." Miss Martian said, still unsure

Superboy began to sniff the air and the others looked at him as he said, "I smell smoke."

Miss Martian gasped. "My cookies!" Then she took off flying.

They followed her to the kitchen and watched as Wolf Strike was calmly sitting there reading a book with the title The Evolution of Homo-superior. And the tray of cookies were fine sitting on the stove.

"If your wondering about the smoke you smelled. I accidentally burnt the sleeves off my trench coat." Wolf Strike said as she showed them the trench coat which indeed had the sleeves burnt off and the cookies were sitting on the stove.

"You are a life saver Wolf Strike!" M'gann said as she hugged Wolf Strike

"No problem sis." Wolf Strike replied as she closed the book and gave M'gann a one armed hug.

"And it seems Wally likes the cookies too." Wolf Strike pointed out as Wally began eating the cookies.

"I have a serious metabolism." he explained

"I'll… make more?" Miss Martian asked more than stated

"It was sweet of you to make any." Aqualad said

"Thanks Aqualad."

"We're off duty. Call me Kaldur'ahm. Actually, my friends call me Kaldur."

"I'm Wally." Wally leaned against the island. "See? I already trust you with my secret ID. Unlike Mr. Dark Glasses over here." Wally gestured to Robin, who scowled with his hands on his hips. "Batman's forbidden Boy Wonder from telling anyone his real name." Robin was glaring at Wally from behind his glasses.

"What about you Wolf? Do you want to tell us who you are?" Wally asked the black ninja

Sianna's POV...

"What about you Wolf? Do you want to tell us who you are?" Wally asked me

I internally sighed. I knew they were gonna have this conversation. But back home it took almost everyone about six months to get me to trust them Snake Eyes is an exception I've known him since we were both eight years old but back to the main subject these guys are from a TV series and I've seen this first season at least enough times to summarize the episodes and COBRA doesn't really exist here so in the end I think I can trust them with my identity. Plus mutants aren't really well known in this dimension so I guess it's safe to reveal my identity.

"I guess it's safe to say yes, but what I'm about to tell you stays between us and only us. Not even your mentors can know, I will tell them when I'm ready. But, I trust you guys enough with my identity but, I'm not ready to take off the helmet just yet and my name is Sianna Howlett." I stated and I pulled out a black USB drive from my trench coat pocket and handed it to Robin.

"You guys can look through it whenever you want, I'm gonna go on patrol around Happy Harbor and I'm taking Rajah with me oh and Robin the password is Arashikage. And don't worry about Red Tornado looking for me I already told him about my patrol. Oh and I would look through this book on some questions you might have. I will see you guys soon. Rajah time for patrol!" I yelled as I left the kitchen (but not without taking the last cookie before Wally could get it. And left the book on the counter.)

Once I found Rajah we headed out and traveled through the shadows to the power plant in Happy Harbor. Once I got to the plant I waited in the branches of the trees along with Rajah on a higher and stronger branch.

About half and hour later Mister Twister finally appears and so does the team but then I receive a transmission on my com link coming from Red Tornado.

"Wolf Strike here what's up Red?"

"The team is not to far from you position help them out."

"No problem. Wolf Strike out." I ended the transmission and I was about a good distance away so me and Rajah started tree jumping from branch to branch.

We got there within five minutes (yes we are very fast) and when we got there, Mister Twister was about to summon a storm with lighting! Guess its my time to shine. I curled my fingers and blue bolts began to appear and it quickly formed in a small ball the size of my palm and I then manipulated the air to give me a quick speed boost as I jumped off the tree branch and propelled myself at Mister Twister and the next thing that android knew he was laying on his back with me standing 100 feet away from him with my katanas out and Rajah was right behind me standing protectively in front of the kids.

"Impressive." Mister Twister said. "None of those children could even land a hit on me. Hmmm... You must the new hero Wolf Strike is it?"

"Yeah thats me. And if your trying to injure my family you'll have to go through me and Rajah!" I stated as I gave a low growl as a warning to him

"Good, I've been looking for a good challenge." He then held out his hands and he began to create the twisters and the storm clouds began to form again. I decided to put my katanas away and fight with the elements. So what I began to do was pull the twisters towards me and I started clenching my hands and the twisters disappear. I then began to concentrate on the lightning that Mister Twister was creating. Soon all that lighting he created is now crawling all over my body (this doesn't hurt very much since I've worked with lighting before.) and I centered all the lighting in my left palm (think of the chidori from Naruto) and I started running at Mister Twister with unbelievable speed (I think I would have the Flash impressed.) and once I was about a foot away I shoved my left hand into his chest and this sent the android back about a hundred feet away from me and he created a crater as he skidded across the ground and I manipulated the air to float back to the ground. Once Mister Twister got out of the crater he made himself he had found dents, scratches, and cuts all over his chest and in some places it was sparking

When I looked back at the team Megan was able to put her camouflaged bioship between the two opposing sides and when I looked back at Mr. Twister looked at the spot the team were in, bemused when he saw no one there and he looked back at me and I growled at him.

"Fine, then. I won't deny you children have power, though it seems the ninja is the only one with potential and was the only one to deal any damage to me, but playing hide-and-seek with you would not help me achieve my objectives, so stay concealed. If you confront me again, I will show no mercy. We will meet again Wolf Strike just you wait." Mister Twister said as he floated away

I turned back to the rest of the team and they were kinda amazed but also had this angry emotion (I guess they're now mad at Megan for assuming Mister Twister was Red Tornado.)

"You guys alright?" I asked them and I got a bunch of yeah's in return

"Thanks for the save back there Wolf we owe you one!" Wally said

Superboy began hitting a piece of ground next to him in anger. "You tricked us into thinking Mr. Twister was Red Tornado."

Oh no...

Aqualad defended the Martian. "She didn't do it on purpose."

"It was a rookie mistake. We shouldn't have listened." Robin backed up

"You are pretty inexperienced." Kid said

I stood up and helped out. "Look I would've done the same thing. Just give her a chance okay? You guys were inexperienced at one point while training with your mentors. You guys are being really harsh towards Megan!"

"Hit the showers." Kid said, "We'll take it from here."

"Stay out of our way!" Superboy spat while walking by us (But not before I quickly punched him in the shoulder which means (between the two of us) he needs to calm down.)

Then KF and Robin followed after him.

"I was just… trying to be part of the team…" Miss Martian looked down discouragingly

Aqualad walked up next to me. "To be honest, I'm not really sure we really have a team." And he went after the others.

I sat down next to Megan. "Hey lets get you back to cave."

Megan looked up at me. "You don't have to be here. I'll be fine by myself."

"Nope. I don't take 'No' for an answer. Besides I consider you my little sister which means your family and I always help my family." I smiled and helped her into the bioship with Rajah right behind us. We made our way back to cave and tried to help out with the team but couldn't come up with anything.

Then my head snapped up. "Wait what if we get Red Tornado to fight with Mr. Twister? Since that's what Mr. Twister wants."

"We won't be able to convince him. What about you? You were able to deal some damage to him last time."

"I don't think I can do another lightning ball. That takes a lot of concentration and it also drains me quite a bit, but I do know a person who can do a good impression of Red Tornado." I looked at her. She finally realized my plan.

"So all you have to do is dress up like Tornado and-" I started but since M'gann was catching on she finished.

"-rip the tornado generating components! And whatever is controlling him is an android too. That's why I couldn't read his mind."

"To tell you the truth I couldn't read his mind either." I told her and I leaned back in the organic chair and I began thinking about the guys back home I wonder how they are doing its been nearly three weeks since I came to this universe and I really miss them especially Snake Eyes but I had to stop thinking cause we found the team and they were getting their butts handed to them.

"Listen to me, all of you."Miss M's voice echoed in my head. "I know!"

I looked down to the guys and quickly exited the ship with Rajah right behind me. Mr. Twister didn't see me, which was good. I saw Robin and ran towards him. Robin then quickly turned around when he saw me.

"You hear her voice too right?" He asked

"Yeah. But listen to her." I pleaded

"And I know I messed up, but now I'm very clear on what we need to do. Please trust me."

After she told the guys the plan it went into effect. Although she forgot to tell them about how the thing that is controlling Mr. Twister is annandroid but Rajah and I hid in the forest and I got ready to create some tornadoes while Rajah was up in the trees.

We then saw Red Tornado land in front of us (Well in front of them).

"Hit the showers." Tornado said. "I was hoping you could handle this. Clearly, you cannot."

"But we gotta plan now." Robin rebutted

"The subject is not up for debate."

The group went behind a large rock and hid untill she gave the cue. Nothing happened for a moment. The two were probably having the mandatory post-battle trash talk session (I kinda zoned out for a bit). And then, the signal. I created one tornado on Megan's left and Wally became the right and M'gann threw her hands forward and I followed the motion, tearing the twister alongside Wally while keeping it far enough away that he wouldn't be sucked in. Twister created his own and for a while we just sort of battled it out! M'gann commanded, throwing her arms behind her. I did as I was told, I hurled it towards Twister, who dodged easily, fists crackling with an electric current.

"Okay, time for the fakeout!" M'gann said-thought-happily

"Don't sound so cheerful." I thought back, laughing

Twister used his energy beam thingies to blow up a nearby speedboat (what?) and M'gann fell backwards, crashing to the ground. Twister hovered over, looming above her menacingly.

And then she changed her head back to her head, keeping Red Tornado's body. As funny as it sounds. I promise.

Wally spun over to Twister, knocking him clean off his feet. Rajah and I jumped out of the forest, Rajah landed safely on the ground and I slow my decent with manipulating the air around me and landed lightly next to the now-completely-M'gann, who rose into the air, bringing the soggy and fairly beat up Twister with her. She then spread her arms wide, Twister's left arm is torn away from his body while the right arm is sliced off with my claws, Rajah then jumped and clawed the back of him and then Robin threw two birdarangs and Mister Twister fell to the ground, armless and very much defeated.

He rose to his knees and… well, a dude fell from his chest. No two ways about it. A fairly tiny man in a green body suit landed in a pathetic little heap on the ground.

"F-foul." he stammered. "I call foul." M'gann lifted her hand, causing a boulder to rise into the air. And then she squished him. Actually squished him.

"M'GANN NO!" Aqualad hollered, but it was too late. The rock was down. The dude was dead.

"I don't know how you do things on Mars." Dick growled, his voice rising with each syllable. "But on Earth, we don't execute our captives!"

M'gann simply smiled, which I thought was super creepy. "You said you'd trust me." she lifted her arm and the rock lifted with it.

"Don't you guys remember what Megan said he's an android its the reason she couldn't read his mind." I stated as I walked over to the android and found the eye and quickly crushed it since this will help stall the Red's attack later on in the season.

"We should've had more faith in you." Kaldur said, resting a hand on M'gann's shoulder.

"Yeah!" Kid agreed. "You rocked this mission. Get it? Rocked?"

"We get it." I told him sweetly. "We just don't care." He fake scowled at me before throwing his arm over my shoulders.

"Ignore them." Dick scoffed. "We're all just turbed you're on the team."

"Thanks." M'gann beamed at us all, even Superboy, who appeared to be sulking. "Me too."

Later at Mount Justice...

"It was clearly created to sabotage or destroy you." Aqualad informed Red Tornado as they examined the android.

"Agreed."

"Is that why you wouldn't help us?" M'gann asked

Red Tornado responded negatively. "No, this was your battle. I do not believe it is my role to solve your problems for you, nor should you solve mine for me."

"But if you are in danger-"

"Consider this matter closed." Red Tornado gave his final word to the subject and began walking off.

"Batman, Aquaman, and Flash, they would've jumped right in to fix things." Wally observed

"Guess if we're gonna have a babysitter, a heartless machine is exactly what we need." Robin commented

"Dude! Harsh!"

"Rob, that was uncalled for." I told him then proceeded to give him a good punch in the shoulder which will bruise.

"And inaccurate," Red Tornado responded from afar. "I have a heart. Carbon steel alloy. I also have excellent hearing."

Robin laughed nervously. "Ahh, right. Sorry, I'll strive to be… more accurate."

"Haha Boy Wonder got burned by an A.I. robot!" I was laughing my ass off

"And be more respectful." Kaldur added, placing his hand on Robin's shoulder.

I stood in front of my teammates. "Speedy was so wrong."

"This team thing-"

"-might just work out"

I nodded and placed my arms on KF and Robin's shoulders. "Things will be awesome. But I will see you guys later I got something to do." I said as I went to my room and it was filled with some of the photos I brought with me, an entire wall had all the weapons I had brought with me, in the left corner was a bed big enough for Rajah, and a little to the left of it was a dresser it had all my clothes in it, then to the far right of the room was a regular size bed and a wooden nightstand with a small lamp on it. I went over to the nightstand and pulled the first drawer open and pulled out an ocarina and I turned myself into shadows and disappeared then I reappear at the top of the mountain and I then retracted the helmet retracted into the the visor but the visor never changed and it still covered my eyes. My hair a really dark brown and it could be mistakened for black (just like daddy) it was short (think of Alice Cullen's haircut) but the bangs had a bit of a cowlick making them arch and the tips barely reach my eyebrows and my bangs were dyed red. I brought the ocarina to my mouth and I began to play. (Think of Lugia's Song)

Back inside the mountain...

Robin, Wally, and Kaldur were just about to leave the mountain but they find Superboy heading to the back 'door' of the mountain and they got curious and followed him. When they got outside they heard an ocarina playing.

"I wonder whose playing this?" Wally wondered and his question was answered by Superboy (surprisingly).

"It's Sianna playing it." He told them

"Your kidding right?" Robin asked him

"Nope." Superboy answered

"She's playing an ocarina right?" Kaldur wondered

"Yeah but she only knows a few songs to play with the ocarina but she's really good at it. She usually comes up here think or to clear her head." Superboy explained and the guys just listened to the beautiful music.

Sianna's POV...

The song finally finished and my mind was at peace. But then I felt something trailing down my cheek I brought my hand to my face and felt a single tear. I just sighed to myself and I retracted the helmet again and my head was hidden once more and then I turned myself into shadows and I disappeared and went to my room. When I reappeared again I found Rajah asleep in her bed asleep I then put my ocarina away and went straight to bed.
